HI, I had seen the fishery on line but not fished it , but two weeks ago my friend and I went to fish it , arrived 8.00 am sunday morning went onto the big lake on peg one and two ,started fishing it took a while to get them feeding but when we got them feeding I had to take a brake as my back and my arms was in trouble with pulling the fish in ,we had such a cracking day at this spot , it was our first vist to this fishery and there one thing for sure we will be going back for the rest of the summer and also in the winter there is some cracking fish and at good weights now , also the owner was very helpful and he knows what he is talking about keep up the good work and well done for keeping things like this going THANK YOU
23/5/2015 Me, my wife Elaine and my mate Simon visited Lodge Lake. What a great day we had, we all caught plenty of fish (tench, carp, bream and roach) with Elaine having one of those Red Letter Days when she out fished everyone. The All Day Breakfast was superb (and only £5!) and we all had a lovely bit of cake later. Just when we thought it couldn't get any better Elaine ended the day with a 16lb 4oz Mirror - her new pb!! Fantastic!!
Hello Chris
Firstly would like to say I had a fantastic days fishing today. It's my first visit today and I love the place will be back soon.
Secondly do you know what size mirror carp is on your welcome page? The one which was caught 2/4/15 the gentleman in the green jacket top right. I believe I caught the same fish today but left my scales at home but this was definitely a personal best for me. Thanks for the help Sam

The first time i've fished Dandys Ford today and had a brilliant, chilled out time, my kids enjoyed it too.
It's refreshing to catch fish that are in such good condition. My little boy is disabled and uses a wheelchair, we found everything very accessible for him, which scores highly for us :-) I love the variety of fish in the Lodge Lake, brilliant fishing!

You won't be disappointed .
Hi

A few of us are planning a fishing trip to your fishery on Saturday 18th. Could you tell me, please, how the lodge lake is fishing at the moment?

Many thanks
Thought I would share this hidden gem tucked away In the quiet place called Sherfield English.
3 great lakes excellent tearooms and toilets and very helpful staff and FISH BY THE BUSHEL.
We fished what is known as the snake lake and for over 9 hours we pulled a myriad of different fish from this water.
I highly recommend any disabled angler to seek this place out :) :) :) :)
Hi loves feeling better if it. Wasn't so cold Jane and me would be down.hope you are all doing alright. John hope all is ok with you. Don't forget a hot milky one. Best wishes jack. Jane
Sort out the weather please John, desperate to get rod bending again at your lovely fishery. Hope your all keeping well.
Arrived at the lake pouring with rain not nice, received a warm welcome in the tea room, nice cup of tea and a bacon butty.
Asked for some advice for a swim, guided to peg 1 between the Lillies, fished on a 8mtr pole first fish a barbel, followed by several crucian carp, tench, and roach, finished off on the longer pole under the reeds
And managed to get into some larger carp, up to 10lb.
Had a great day, will be going back again to try a different swim.

Hi Derek, really glad you had a great day at the lakes. And apologies for the weather... hope to see you again very soon.
All at DFF
Fished Kingsfishers Canal for the first time today, with members of Nailors Angling Club.

Thoroughly enjoyed the fishing with quite a few 5-8lbers being caught and plenty of roach rudd tench and a few perch.

Full english breakfast was excellent and the facilities great.

Many thanks to John

Look forward to fishing here again with club members soon.
Fished Calvert on Saturday and had the lake to myself. Having recently relocated to Hampshire from Tyneside this was only my second day on the bank anywhere this year and what a day!! After taking some good advice from the fellow who I paid for my ticket to, I caught consistently throughout the day and had my first barbel ever!! Brilliant fishing, beautiful surroundings and a friendly welcome . . .what more could a bloke far from home ask for? I will be back.

Hi intested in fishing this lake but unable to find summer opening times and favoured baites. Anyone able to help. Thanks

Hi Alan, the Summer opening times are now amended on the site for you. Very best wishes DFF
Visited Dandy's Ford Fishery today for the first time. What a wonderful venue. I fished Lodge Lake as there was a match on the other two lakes. I think by the time I had finished the session I had approx 60+ cruician carp up to 11/2Lb, a dozen carp, with one to about 7Lb; the rest between 1 and 3LB.

I chatted with John for a bit on and off during the day. It is absolutely clear that he has a passion for making Dandy's Ford one of the premier fisheries in the area - and it shows. It is a beautiful place, immaculately kep - and the tea room is fantastic. You should be very proud of what you have done here John. I'll be back soon and hope to have a crack at one of the other two lakes.
We fished our first match at DFF on Sat 2nd June everyone caught loads of fish and everyone had a great day out from the breakfast first thing to the weighing in at the end. Our oldest member Rudi (89 years old) said he wanted to go to DFF every week (thanks john you have cause me a problem now)
The fish was all in good condition and the carp gave a good acount of themselfs when hooked. Again thanks John foe a great day and all the lads said a big thankyou to your wife foe the lovely breakfast and very clean facilities. Thanks again Dave

Fished DFF for the first time on Wednesday pity that the Lodge lake was closed but had a lovely day on the top lake and caught plenty, not massive but in lovely condition. Hopefully will be back Saturday to fish the canal and try and get some of the Barbel, Chub and golden tench. Thanks for a great day.
Hi guys, great website. Haven't had a chance to visit for a while, but have a club match coming up soon hopefully. Will try to sneak in some practice beforehand - looking forward to coming back - it's been too long!

Thank you Shaun, appreciate your kind comments and hope to see you again soon. Chris at DFF
It was a nice bright but cold day on Saturday 28th January and I joined the few hardy souls (about 8) on the main lake and opted for swim 17 thinking the the little beauties would be shoalled up in the corner. The gentleman beside me on the left hooked first at about 1030, it was a small 6Lb carp. This was encouraging and I thought it wouldnt be long before the action would start especially as a small stream of bubbles appeared out in front of me but alas nothing except for a line bite on my method feeder, which got the old heart fluttering. About miday I changed tactics and put out a waggler with single maggot, followed by sweetcorn and still not a touch so back onto the feeder. By 4 pm still no luck and I was the last to leave. Hey ho that the way it goes sometimes. I shall return.

Hi Peter, glad you had a nice day at the lakes - sadly unproductive... but hopefully enjoyable nevertheless. All the best from DFF
Just got round to looking at your website, after visiting you last year. Realy encoraged by you enthusiasm as we were there when you put the 400 tench in the lakes. had a brilliant days fishing (see gallery picture 81 ) return is definite on of my favorite venues. Thanks for a wonderful day.

We are delighted that you enjoy fishing with us. See you soon. DFF
Often fish here with my 86 year old father-in-law, and always have a great day. He loves the setting, the welcome, the fishing and the wonderful people who run it, thanks John and team. Roll on the warmer weather and we'll be back.

Hi Howard. Thanks for the kind comments - see you soon! DFF
Visited the lakes for the first time last Saturday 15th October and thoroughly enjoyed it. I fished the main lake (Lodge) waggler using pellet in the morning catching small crucian and roach and then changing to method feeder in the afternoon using spam and thats when the fun began. I caught 3 nice Crucian and two mirror. I didnt weigh them but they gave good sport. Unfortunately I didnt use the tea room but I will next time. A lovely day in bright warm Autumn sunshine in glorious surroundings.

Peter, many thanks for your kind comments and we are all really glad that you enjoyed your time at the fishery. See you again soon we hope - all the best from all at Dandy's Ford Fishery
